imagery captures qualities that are both personal and objective. I see each of these pieces as presenting a personal narrative that goes public as a result of their abstractive qualities. In other words, these paintings may or may not evoke personal stories for the artists but for the rest of us, the work is open enough that we are able to draw our own conclusions as to meaning.
