Welcome to the Collected Essays Page
Our policies for submitting essays are presented below.

Submit a short essay to us as either a MS Word file attachment or as body text in an email to: Editors@abartonline.com.  It must not exceed more than 600 words and must include a short bio to accompany the piece. If you are an artist you have the option to include a jpeg image of your work (resolution of 72 ppi and around 6 inches max outer dimensions). The essay can be on most any art-related subject; i.e., no general political rants, personal axes to grind, etc (art rants & axes are acceptable though).  There are no restrictions on how often you submit.

Submissions will be evaluated by the editors to determine whether acceptable for publication. Once a submission has been accepted it will, at the sole discretion of the editors, be published as either an opening essay for a New York Views column or collected here as a directory listing with links to a corresponding page. All essays whether published as part of a column or not will be archived here for up to a year. For all published writing we will include a bio and optional images for artists and website links. If your essay is not accepted for publication you will be notified by email within 2 weeks after we have received it.
